A favorite shot from Daren and Marlene's Wedding

There were so many good shots from this wedding, I am sure there will be a few more posts from it.  Blurred, with a bit of ghosting from the slow shutter speed this shot captures the movement of the dance they were performing that night.  A beautiful memory them to be sure, one of their first dances as husband and wife.  These moments, and really the whole time spent with couples like this is one of the reasons I love doing these events.

If you want to get a shot like this you have to drag the shutter and add in an outside light source that you can pop, preferably an off-camera flash.  I had one on camera that I would shoot off the (blessedly) white-draped ceiling and two others behind the curtains that were set up.  What you are seeing is the pop off the ceiling and the shutter dragging out for another fraction of a second.
